Property, Estate & Garage Cleanouts
A cleanout usually involves more decisions than a single-item pickup. TrashThat helps remove agreed unwanted contents from homes, garages, estates, rental properties and storage spaces. We review the scope with you, confirm the items and access, and explain the quote before removal begins.
Start with the spaces and contents
Tell us which rooms or storage areas need attention and what types of contents are involved. A garage full of household belongings, an estate clearout and a rental turnover can differ in volume, access and decision-making. List any appliances, oversized furniture or heavy materials separately so they can be assessed.
You do not need an exact truckload calculation to make an enquiry. Describe the amount as clearly as you can and add optional photos if they help. A larger job may need more than one load or a different collection plan. We review the scope and scheduling with you before the work is agreed.

Make keep and remove decisions clear
Choose a person who can identify the approved items and authorize the work. Confirm that the person arranging collection has the right to direct removal of the contents, especially for an estate, rental or shared storage space. Keep belongings with unresolved ownership or removal decisions separate until those decisions are settled.
Set aside documents, valuables, keys and personal keepsakes before the crew starts. Mark areas or items that must stay and walk through the agreed scope with the crew. If the plan changes during the job, discuss the new items and any change to the quote before additional work is approved.
Coordinate access and your deadline
Share the property’s access arrangements, parking restrictions, stairs, elevators and carrying distances. For a storage facility or managed building, confirm who can open gates and doors and whether an elevator or loading space needs to be reserved. The person with access should know which contents are being removed.
Tell us about a move-out date, handover or other deadline at the start. Available appointments and the size of the job determine what can be scheduled. A two-hour booking window is the planned arrival period. The completion plan for a larger cleanout depends on the scope and access.
Sensitive or heavily cluttered spaces
If the contents are difficult to sort or the space is heavily cluttered, explain the situation when you enquire. Clear instructions about what stays and what goes help keep the decisions in your hands. Let us know about blocked routes, unstable piles or any conditions that could affect safe access before the appointment.
This service concerns removal of accepted contents. It does not imply sanitizing, pest treatment, biohazard cleanup, structural work or remediation. Hazardous, restricted and unsafe materials are excluded. If a space needs specialist attention before ordinary hauling is possible, that work must be addressed separately.
Agree the work and price onsite
The free onsite quote considers the approved contents, estimated volume, handling, carrying route and disposal requirements. Heavy material, unusual items and difficult access need a specific review. We explain the complete price before work begins and wait for your approval.
You can decline the quote. For work you approve, the crew handles agreed lifting, loading and cleanup associated with the removal, and payment is due when the approved job is complete. General cleaning or restoring an entire property is not implied by a contents-removal booking.
Discuss items suitable for reuse
Tell us if you hope particular belongings can be reused. Donation depends on their condition and receiving acceptance; we cannot promise a donation destination for every item in a mixed cleanout. Recycling and disposal likewise depend on the materials being collected.
If you need to preserve an item or arrange a particular handover yourself, separate it from the approved removal scope. A clear list helps avoid confusion between belongings to retain, items collected by somebody else and contents authorized for TrashThat to remove.

Common questions
Can you clear a whole property?
Describe the spaces, contents, access and deadline so the job can be assessed. Larger cleanouts may require multiple loads or a different schedule; the complete scope must be agreed first.
Do I need to sort every item before asking for a quote?
You can enquire before everything is sorted. Before removal starts, the person authorizing the job must make clear what is approved to go and what must stay.
Do cleanouts include deep cleaning or sanitizing?
No. Contents hauling does not imply deep cleaning, sanitizing, pest treatment, biohazard work or remediation. Describe any unsafe conditions before scheduling.
Can you work around a move-out deadline?
Tell us the deadline and estimated scope at the start. We can review the available appointments, but a booking window is not a guarantee that a large cleanout will finish within that period.
