Burnaby's municipal large-item pickup is an option for eligible households receiving City curbside collection. The City lists up to three items per pickup for a house or duplex and up to six per complex for an eligible apartment, condo or townhouse complex. The complex allowance is not a per-unit allowance.

Check the City's current large-item pickup rules for eligibility, accepted items and outdoor placement instructions. Mattresses thicker than four inches must be wrapped and sealed in plastic. The request form's one-to-three-business-day response time is a staff reply timeframe, not a pickup guarantee.

TrashThat is a separately booked private service for customers who need crew-assisted lifting, indoor removal or a mixed cleanout assessed together. Compare the work you need with the City's collection requirements.

Can you take renovation waste or heavy materials?

Suitable non-hazardous renovation debris can be assessed. Drywall, concrete, soil and other heavy loads need separate review before acceptance. We do not take asbestos, hazardous chemicals or medical waste.
