Office Cleanouts and Office Furniture Removal

Make an office move or clearout easier to coordinate with a clear inventory and collection route. TrashThat assesses accepted desks, chairs, storage furniture, electronics and other unwanted office contents across our Metro Vancouver service areas.

List what is leaving and what stays in use

Begin with the reason for the collection: replacing a few desks, clearing a storage room, moving offices or removing contents at the end of a lease. List the furniture, equipment and boxes you want removed, with approximate quantities. Note oversized, dense or unusually heavy items separately.

Mark equipment and furniture that must remain, including items belonging to the landlord or another tenant. Keep active workstations, records and reusable supplies separate from the removal items. If the job spans several rooms or floors, describe the locations and identify who can confirm the inventory on pickup day.

Photos are optional and can help us plan the volume or understand an awkward exit route. They do not replace the onsite quote. Keep confidential documents, account information and visible screens out of photos you provide for collection planning.

  • Desks, chairs, tables and other accepted office furniture.
  • Storage furniture and already-sorted unwanted contents.
  • Electronics or equipment identified in advance for acceptance and handling review.
  • Packaging and suitable general business junk included in the agreed scope.

Prepare equipment and protect your information

Before handing over computers, drives, printers or other devices, arrange the data removal your organization requires. Ordinary electronics hauling does not automatically include certified data destruction. For documents, discuss the separately priced document-destruction option and agree your handling, security and any certification requirements before collection. Keep records and storage media needing a specialist process clearly separated.

Identify devices that contain batteries, liquids or other materials requiring special handling. Ask about acceptance and preparation first. Keep unknown chemicals, hazardous materials and restricted waste separate from office furniture and packaging.

Disconnect equipment safely before collection, using an appropriately qualified professional where required. Tell us if something is fixed to a wall or floor or needs dismantling to leave the building so we can assess the removal route and handling requirements.

Fit the pickup around the building arrangements

Check the service elevator, loading bay, parking and permitted working times before choosing an appointment. Include the floor, stairs, long carrying routes and door or elevator size constraints. Arrange any required elevator reservation and building permission with your building contact.

Tell us your move-out deadline and when the crew can access the office. Confirm appointment availability and any after-hours request with us, including the time allowed for the work.

The two-hour booking window is an arrival window, not the expected duration of the cleanout. Larger inventories and difficult access affect the amount of work. Keep the agreed route clear and have a contact available to confirm the contents and answer access questions.

Approve the collection and complete the handover

Book an available appointment online or call to explain the office scope. The crew assesses the actual contents, volume, weight, access, labour and disposal requirements and gives you a free onsite quote. There is no obligation to proceed, and reserving the appointment does not require a credit card.

Confirm which person can approve the price if the facilities contact and the budget owner are different people. We explain the total and wait for approval before starting. Additional handling, disposal charges or newly added items are included in an updated quote for approval before that work begins.

After approval, our crew handles the agreed lifting, loading and cleanup. Have your contact confirm that the agreed items have been removed and that belongings marked to stay remain in place. Payment is due when the approved work is complete. Discuss any invoice-reference request or unattended-collection arrangement before the appointment.

Common questions

Can you remove only a few office desks and chairs?

Yes. Describe the items and building access so we can assess a smaller pickup. The crew provides an onsite quote and starts only after you approve it.

Can office furniture stay inside until you arrive?

Yes, where the items can be safely accessed. Our crew handles the agreed lifting and loading. Tell us about floors, stairs, elevators and narrow routes before the appointment.

Do you wipe computers or destroy confidential documents?

Document destruction is priced separately. Discuss your records, security requirements and any required certification with us before arranging pickup. For computers and storage devices, arrange your required data removal before ordinary electronics collection; certified data destruction is not automatically included.

Can you dismantle fitted office furniture or disconnect equipment?

Describe any dismantling or fixed equipment before booking so the scope can be assessed. Arrange required electrical, plumbing or other qualified disconnection separately, and confirm the equipment is ready for safe removal.

Can you clear the office while we are absent?

Yes, with arrangements discussed in advance. Agree access, how the items and price will be confirmed, and payment arrangements before the appointment.
